Today was the day of the kidney transplant operation. The doctor told me not to eat anything before the operation. I was to stay in the hospital ward the entire morning.
At 1pm, the nurse came and wheeled me into the operation theatre. When I was there, the doctor injected me with anaesthesia and told me to count backwards from ten. When I awoke, the operation was done. Five hours passed.
While I was resting in my ward, the doctor walked in and told me that the operation was a success. I'll have to be hospitalised for five days before I can finally go home, though. I'm so glad everything is alright.
